Note: Plz don't suggest me to use both as there is no free port to connect the old one...

You would need an "imaging" software such as Norton Ghost or Drive Image. These allow you to copy the old drive to a series of CDs (or DVDs), and then load those on to the new drive.

Well, I will assume you do not have a any free ports, o this will also apply if you have a laptop. This is what you need:
1) A hard drive enclosure, with a USB or Fire Wire connection
2) An Imagine Program (Norton Ghost or Acronis True Image)
3) Your New Shiny HD

I have not used Acronis so I woul explain haw to use norton ghost
1) Install Ghost And Register
2) Put the New HD on the Enclosure and Connect to the computer
3) Got to norton options and select the option to make and image of your HD, The program will tell you that being a active partion she has to boot
4) Select the Destination the New USB Drive
5) after the process finish Ghost Should have make an identical copy of your drive (All info, OS, MBT)
6) Remove the HD from the enclosure and install the new HD on the machine after removing the old one
7) Boot and if you have done everithing rigth the computer will never know what hapen,
8) You shoul verify al info on the drive and my advise is to install the old drive on the enclosure and completley erase the info and use it as additional storage.

Take Care And I hope this will help you.

Well, you need to hook them together to transfer everything. But the OS wont boot from the old one. You need to install an OS on the new one and then can slave the old one to that.
There may not be ports on the MB, but there are links of the data cable for a slave.

Then you can have all you stuff. But again, some software will not work and may have to be reinstalled.

Are you sure you need to reinstall the OS??? If you are not sure, tell us more about that...
