My mom works at the school, and when I go to P.E I drop my stuff of in her room. My teachers see me go in her room and they think I get special treatment. ( Which I do not) When I was in the libary with my class and teacher, and I went over to sit own the couch to read, and she called me over to tell mme that I could not sit over there, because I did not ask. ( and she say if I did ask she stills would not let me go over there.) Anyway then she called me over to talk to me and she said the whole six grade team has been talking about you, and they have put up with long enough you can not keep going to your mom's class every single day. For a second, I thought she was going to say something but no she went there. Other teachers have me questioning me in front of the class asking me where I was when I went to the bathroom. ( and they see me go to the bathroom anyway.) Yes I am black and I go to a white school what should I do? Please anwser this question.Email me at morgan199611@yahoo. *

Is there a rule about sitting on the couch in the library? Evidently your teacher does not allow students to sit there. So don't sit there.

It sounds like your teachers feel you are spending time in your mom's class when you should be in your own class. Are you getting to class on time? Sounds like you are not.

As for questioning you when you go to the bathroom, are you going to the bathroom between classes? If you are, and getting to class on time, there should be no questions. If you are going to the bathroom during class time, without permission, your teacher has the right to question you.

It sounds like you are looking for a fight. As an earlier answerer says, no one cares if you are black or white. I think you should closely examine your behavior. It sounds like you are in your mother's class when you should be in your own, and are not following the rules. Teachers do not "hate" you. They are trying to mold you into a good citizen who doesn't wander around in other classes and the bathroom when she should be in class.

You should speak with your mother or with the school counselor. Tell your mom what has happened and tell her to speak with the teacher that has been mistreating you. Once you mom speaks with her or if you do not want your mom involved. Talk with your counselor, she should know what to do, you should not be treated like that and the counselor will take of it. In the case the counselor does not do her job and correct this treatment you are receiving. Go to the principal, and tell her your story, and do not do not pull the race card with the counselor or with the principal, it will make you seem immature. Although it is a good point you will sound a lot smarter and intelligent if you do not mention how you feel this is happening to you because you are black

Morgan, your question doesn't make sense. How can your teachers accuse you of getting "special treatment", since they are the ones that would be giving you the special treatment if they are dealing with you in the first place? Having a mother who works at the school should not be terribly unusual. If this is an on-going problem, this needs to be addressed to your mother, not to you. Talk to your mom -- she needs to talk to the administration and the teachers involved on this one.

And stop trying to make it a race thing. No one gives a flip if you're black, white, yellow, green or polka-dotted.

Tell them nicely, since they asked, where you went. Forget about them and do your work. That's all they can do, ask. Tell your mother so that she is aware of the situation. She will know whether to approach the Principal or confront the other teachers.
