anyone have a cockapoo?

or spoodle? What kind of dogs do they make and would my bichon get along with it? she is 6 and socialised and lived with an older dog for her first 3 years.

Bichons have a wonderful personality. I have not seen any bichon not get along with another dog yet. I am saying it don't happen, just I have never seen it before. We know quite a few people who have Bichons and other dogs and they get along fine. We also have Bichons, Pomeranians and Shih Tzu's and they all get along great. What one does not think of the others surely will.

Oh no..watch out...some people here get upset if you use terms like cockapoo instead of cocker spaniel / poodle cross! ;)

Anyway, I think if your bichon is active enough (And from what I've read they are pretty active and social) then I'm sure a cocker spaniel/poodle would be great. You know the whole grooming drill so that won't be a problem. If you want to know what the dog will be like read about purebred poodles and purebred cocker spaniels. The dog could have more traits in common with one than the other, but if you like both dogs then any mix of them should suit you!

I have a Bichon, a cockapoo and a poodle and they all get along.
The biggest question is how territorial is you Bichon and will she accept a young pup.
A lot is introducing them correctly.

I have a mini poodle. My poodle is extremely socialized, but he tends no to like other male dogs.
But other than that he is a super great dog, i wouldnt trade him for anything in the world.

I have a Bichonpoo. She is the gentlest most sweet-natured dog. She loves everyone and all other dogs. She doesn't shed and is an ideal size - 11 1/2 pounds. She is hands down the best dog I have ever owned.
