I cannot believe you are even wasting your life throwing out questions like that. You are not stupid to have a faith... Those who mock and threaten you are stupid.. especially AZIZ!! That can be followed through by the proper authorities and I would ask for it to be done too!!! No matter what faith you have it does not give you the right to threaten another's life! I have no faith in any God... I do not believe the words of a book, that has been written and re-written many times over the years.. but I do not condemn those who do, except the extremists like AZIZ... Its people like him that are responsible for 911 and the other terrorists acts around the world in the name of religion!!... Where are the families of those lost.. how will they be spending Xmas.. you think they'll be thanking Christ, or God... I know I sure as hell wouldn't... But that's my opinion... and I'm not trying to shove it down your throat... Your stupidity is trying to force your belief's onto others with " if you don't believe,in Christ, your loss, but Christ died to give you the freedom to choose, and you have, why at the end of this month will you be drinking and feasting and exchanging gifts to celebrate the birth of someone you "know" doesn't exist," I don't celebrate Christ.. I never did... but I'm not going stop those around me who do... and I'm not going to refuse to go to their house when they invite me and I'm certainly not NOT gonna give gifts to those I love because I don't believe that Christ even existed!!... you are nearly as extreme as AZIZ.. let people have their own beliefs, their own faith, their own religion.. and let US ALL LIVE IN PEACE!!!!!

Angela, i think to an extent you might have brought this upon yourself.
Let me first say i'm an athiest and there is not one tiny part of me believes or ever will be convinced that there is a god, however i have no problem with you, what you believe if your Christian, Muslim, Hindu, etc.
I and many others like me do have a problem when religious people use forums and places like as this to go on either a religious rant or to try and push it down our necks.
Every day there are hundreds of 'questions' on here which as just passages coied from the bible or attempts at trying to convert us in some way.
On the whole people like me are not anti religious questions, i answer quite a few from the non-beliver point of view but it's this preaching, this mission some are on to turn us into christians, etc that's causing this problem for you.
To be honest Angela, i don't know of your previous questions and so i can't comment on wether you have posted things that warrant some or all of these comments.
People like Aziz are way out of order and should be booted off here for good.
I don't care about who get's best answer on this, i just want all religious people all all types to listen to one tiny thing.
We really don't care what you believe, it doesn't bother us in the slightest way.
What does bother us is when you start to push religion on us because it's not going to change us in a million years.
We accept what you believe, now accept that we don't believe and we just don't want to!

You have set yourself up with your question.
I do not want to be agreable with you so I will
say you are not stupid. You are a very
reasonable person.
Halloween is a pagan festival that many
Christians let their children take part in, at least the trick or treating part, not the religious ceremonies. Just as non-christians enjoy the secular festivities of christmas, decorations. trees etc. but not the religious ceremonies.
Other religions also have festivals that are enjoyed by non believing participants.
Not to put too fine a point on it but Santa Claus has a celebration at the same time and some people do not believe he exists either, but they go along for the fun.

I agree with you. Not many people actually believe in Christianity and yet most of the population over indulge with drink, food, spending and so on. It has become a holiday without meaning to most as to is Easter. If all of those that thought Christianity was rubbish etc were to stop pretending then the shops would have a very poor Christmas as far as takings are concerned. We could then get back to the true meaning of Christmas.
God bless you and have a happy time at your Christmas celebrations. I will and I will drink and eat and have a great time in knowledge that I do believe.

Firstly, you are not stupid.
Secondly, Aziz is not a Muslim, but a white racist moron who like stiring things up and making Muslims out to be bad.
Thirdly, Christmas is NOT about the birth of Christ. It is a Pagan festival celebrating the Winter Solstice on the 21st that was hijacked by the Christians in a bid to convert the Paganbs to Christianity. Most xmas symbology (Santa Claus, the tree, misteltoe etc) all have the origins from paganism and nothing to do with Christianity. The Church did not know when Jesus was born so it sat down and decided that it would be in December.
So, next time you preach the 'real meaning' of Christmas, I suggest you look it up rather than misleading yourself and others.

I wouldn't like to call you stupid, each to their own is my motto and I hope your belief is a big comfort to you. As a non believer there is no point in you telling me that Christ died to give me the freedom to choose - because I don't believe it!! There is some evidence that as far back as pre-historic man the winter solstice was a celebration which pre dates the supposed birth of Christ by Millenia, but for those that don't believe in evolution, there are documents held in Rome that show the Church elders discussing ways to make the festival of Saturnalia a Christian one as, no matter what they tried, they couldn't stop it. The same papers show that the thought at the time was that Christ was born in September.

You state opinion as if it is fact "but Christ died to give you ..." There is zero evidence that this happened. None. You were taught this as a child and wanted to accept it. You still want to accept it as true. Folly. Do not state it as a 'fact, as you merely appear ridiculous.
At the end of this month, I will be celebrating Yuletide and I will have no god-concept included. You seem to have missed the memo earlier, and repeated so often, that Christmas was a cobble-together by the Emperor Constantine in Rome, a feast day borrowed from the pagans to make the transition from paganism into the newly-favoured christianity much easier to accept by the populace.
Thus, I am not celebrating the birth of anyone, real or imagined.
What you do is up to you but I suggest that, instead of stating your own beliefs as 'facts', you state them as YOUR belief only.
That said, I DO have the opinion that religious freaks ARE weak-minded sheep, who, due to intensive childhood indoctrination by well-meaning parents and subsequent 'teachers', cannot shake off the cuddly jesus stories implanted at that very impressionable age, because you SO want it to be true. Wanting does not make it true, no matter how much you want. I suffer NO loss from not accepting a myth.
Up to you. I am just planting the seeds of reality to see if you can be saved from crass stupidity or not. Your choice.

Mmmmmmmm
I aint gona answer that last question.
First of all, the 25 of December has no real Christian relationship at all. It was ripped off from pagan sun worshipers and white washed by the grotesque WH0RE whose leader sits on his throne in Rome.
To tell you the truth, it sickens me the way all Christendom swoons over this gawty mix of paganism and "christian" idols.
But really, unbelievers are not celebrating the birth of Jesus. I dare say that most Christians spend more time on any theme but Jesus during this long drawn out commercialized celebration.
I'm convinced that Jesus weeps because of the ignorance of his believers during this time.
I don't think you're stupid.
Maybe your question is not the swiftest
I'll give you a break because you don't have experience with rabid dogs. (only applies to those who are)

There was always a celebration at this time long before christianity took it over but the current festival Christ - mas is the celebration of Christs birth, this is the reason we celebrate currently. Now, sadly less people are christians and so christmas is becoming more and more secular. But Christmas is about celebrating Jesus' birth and dont you ever forget it!

No you wouldnt be more inclined to side with the people who say you are weak minded and a sheep, because you fear eternall damnation. You have the "fear of god" in you. While others dont have to be afraid of all that to be a good person while others do. And actually christmas is not the true birth of jesus. EVERYONE even christians know that. It is just the day you SAY he was born. And I dont celibrate christmas to celibrate for that reason, I celibrate to have time with family and to take time out to have my family gather together to spend time together, espicially sence we all live all over the country and our jobs give us the time off.
