I don't believe so. Pain refers to something somebody has felt. If you have never felt it, you can feel compassion. Just because someone else is hurting doesn't mean you have to feel for them.

Pain is the greatest teacher. Burn your hand, and you learn not to do it again.

Burn your hand and no one sees, where is said compassion?

Well, I think that's true, to an extent.

But I also believe that...well...here's an analogy:
Let's suppose we lived in a world where it never rained. Crops still grew, and there was still plenty of water, it just never rained. It was always sunny, and the temperature never went below 70 or above 85.

Would we notice?

I don't think we would.

And that's why there's pain. There's hot and cold, rain and sun, good and evil, life and death, sorrow and happiness. Pain shows that everything is in balance.

I've experienced a lot of pain in my life, known a lot of people who have died...and it makes me so grateful for the people in my life who are still alive.

No.

There is pain and suffering because of attachment. As one becomes attached to material things due to ignorance, he develops a consuming love for them. More often than not, he doesn't get his desires fulfilled, and this leads to anger. Then, anger results in madness, and he is perpetually doomed to ignorance.

Moral - Do not be attached to anything. It is all temporary, for we live but 70-100 years. A person may cry upon the death of his relative or lover due to attachment, but if you can see that death and separation are unavoidable anyway, you will not cry over them.

I think the answer is an oxymoron.

Just because someone want to show his or her compassion therefore pain was created?

That's not true. Pain and suffering are caused by other christians who profit in this world because they all know that whatever crimes are committed in this world will be forgiven by the "Big Guy" in the next. Profit from misery, Jesus will forgive.

There is pain and suffering in the world cos there are agents that/who cause it as well as circumstances and desire.

Pain wasn't planted here by some sorta Invisible Sky Critter (ISC). It wasn't a planned thing.
ISCs don't exist and well, Shite just happens.

There is pain and suffering because most of mankind refuses to even consider The Living God.

Don't be discouraged by the brutes "Hey There".
Philosophy is good; shows your thinking.
Keep it up.

I feel the answer is with only one how would we know the other? If it were summer all the time, with the way we are eventually we would nick pick all the negative we could find and not enjoy it or be grateful for it.

NO I think we have pain in this world to make sure we know that God did not make life easy that it`s hard work. That we will have no pain if we follow him and end up in heaven.
