Do the extension tube interfere something in the lens..?? what about the picture quality..??

by increasing the lens to film distance the light essentially is weaker which may require you to increase the exposure times or to open up the aperture a bit. When dealing with bellows or extension tubes you have to take into account the "bellows compensation rule". As already stated some macro lenses require an extension tube to produce a 1:1 image.

You might also try extension tubes on a telephoto lens.

If you are really interested in close-up/macro photography, you might enjoy this book: "Adventures In Closeup Photography" by Lief Ericksenn and Els Sincebaugh.

Extension tubes degrade picture quality. But thats not always true, depends on the lens and quality /size of extension tubes.
