Flip your head (and hair) upside down. Wrap the middle of the towl around your head from the back of your head (the middle of the long part of the towel should touch your neck). Fold one side around your head (tightly) then fold the other side around your head to hold it in place. Flip your head back up, and put the slack from the towel (that's hanging in your face) over your head, so it hangs down like long hair.

Best explaination I can do...hope it helps.

Buy one of those towel turban things. I have one. It's great. All you do is put it over your hair, then twist the part that hangs down with your hair around, tuck it through the elastic and you're set. They're definitely not more than $10 and I know Linens N' Things has them. Otherwise, yeah, use a smaller towel. I have really long hair and large towels still fall of my head because they're too heavy!

Place the centre edge of the towel on your nape. Pull the two ends to the front and twist together. Then pull the ends towards the back and tuck under the bit at the neck. That should hold it in place. Works for my kids, both boys and girls, whatever their hair length.

Smaller towel, lighter and put your head back, twist hard and put it up. I had short hair for like 4 years.
