There is a surgery for that. It is a cosmetic plastic surgery called JAW REDUCTION (Jaw Angle Reduction, Jaw Shaving).

The surgery is done for the purpose of the reducing an outer portion of the jaw to narrow the face. Elongated jaws will have such surgery to trim down the angle of the jaw by cutting the bone from inside the mouth.Surgeries are aimed to create a softer jaw line.

It is said that such surgery is relatively easy and safe and costs approximately $4,000.

There is also a NON-SURGICAL JAW SHAVING procedure to do that (also known as BOTOX JAW REDUCTION) which is aimed at reducing the flare and width of a wide jawline. The procedure involves the injection of BOTOX Cosmetic (botulinum toxin type A) or Myobloc (botulinum toxin type B).

(Some celebrities who had jaw reduction include Arnold Schwarzenegger and Madonna and not to forget Michael Jackson).

yes what they do is dislocate the jaw then remove some bone from the back of the jaw then realign which then makes the jaw sit further back that before. Very common operation and most of it is done inside your mouth so there is little or no scaring.
