Ok so I haven't seen this girl that I really like in over a year. She lived in a different city and she had a boyfriend at the time, but now she moved close to me and I don't think she's with her boyfriend anymore. The reason I say, "I don't think," is because I'm pretty sure they are not together, but we haven't discussed it yet. On Friday we met up at a basketball game and that was the first time I saw her in over a year and we had a good time. On Saturday we met up again with some friends and had another good time. So, both of these times were fun but we were out with friends. I really want to hang out with her one and one so I can talk to her more and see if she opens up, but I just don't know how to go about making this happen? I don't want to rush things too much or seem too pushy, seeing as how it's been so long since we've seen each other. So my question is that I want to hang out with her one on one, but how and when should I ask her about this? THANKS!

Ask her about getting together for lunch or a few drinks. Make sure you get a specific date and time before you hang up.

try to be as casual as possible. ask her if she would be interested to meet up for lunch or coffee and see what she says. Noting that she is new to the place or that u haven't seen her in a while, u can suggest showing her around or just catching up. if she says yes, without sounding too eager, suggest a time and place. things should flow on from there. all the best

You ask her. Simple. Ask her out for a coke and a hamburger, it'll look friendly with no strings attached. Then you start the conversation by asking her how life was in another city...get the ball rolling by asking safe questions. That should do it. Won't scare her into thinking you have "ulterior motives". Like you said, you don't like to rush things. Just be cool and interested.

I think you should ring her and say..hey theres this movie I have been wanting to see..wanna go? ......keep it casual. Then if the movie works wangle coffee afterwards then act really interested in her and ask her lots of questions in a casual way. But don't ..don't like try and screw her or kiss her or anything..just try and get information.
