yes you can but most often you get it through having sex with a woman who has it. it is easier for an yest infection to survive in the vagina than on the penis.

Yes, although it's not nearly as common as with women men can get a yeast infection. Usually it's through sexual contact with a woman who has the infection, but it can happen in other circumstances as well. Uncircumcised men are at higher risk, because the foreskin is a naturally moist warm spot where the fungus can grow- but it can also inhabit the area of the crotch. Most fellows call it jock itch- and sometimes it is candida and sometimes it's something else. It will cause the same rash on the head of the penis and crotch, sometimes it will cause tiny little blisters. That rash can spread to the rest of the groin, and if it gets bad enough it can even get into the urethra and cause a discharge there as well. It's treated much the same way, with creams and lotions, and recommendations to change a few habits to help prevent it in the future. Most guys find it extemely embarassing to be told they have one, and it's not talked about much- but yes, Candida albacans is an equal opportunity critter. Males just usually enjoy a little more protection due to their design, but it's not an immunity to it.

Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:

Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

Men do not get yeast (Candida albicans) infections the way women do. Rather, both men and women can get "jock itch" which is a superficial fungal infection of the groin. Men get it three times more commonly than women but women can get it too. The organisms are entirely different - Trichophyton rubrum, Epidermophyton floccosum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, or Trichophyton verrucosum. They're often spread by infected objects (e.g. sheets) or by scratching other areas of the body that have infections - such as athelete's foot - and then scratching the groin.

yes, anybody can get yeast infections. yeast infections can occur anywhere in the body. yeast is naturally present in everyone's bodies, but when they grow out of proportion that's when you get yeast infections (and many diseases and conditions brought on by that). but the good news is that you can actually control the amount of yeast that grows in your body by avoiding certain foods.

Yep they can. And from what I understand, it itches just as bad as a female yeast infection. They call it "jock itch" so as to not bruise the delicate ego of the men who get it. It is almost always sexually transmitted.
