You can try calling around to vets, but few if any will help you without cash in hand.

It sounds like parvo. Was she ever vaccinated?

I would try to start giving her pedialyte a few cc at a time every few minutes. I hope she lives for you. If it is parvo, many die even with intensive, early vet care.

Call the emergency vet and explain your situation. They may be willing to allow you to make payments. Do you have anyone you could borrow the money from? This being a Chihuahua makes this situation more serious because of the dogs small size. It is very important that this dog doesn't get dehydrated.
At the very least make contact with the vet. They will explain to you how to keep the dog hydrated, they will explain what a bland diet is and they may be able to tell you an OTC med to stop the diarrhea. Good luck, but call the vet now.

You don't say what country you are in which makes this difficult to give advice.

America - call the ASPCA -NOW- they will be able to point you in the direction of one of those charity institutions that help out with owners who can't pay vet's bills.

UK - find a Blue Cross center, they only charge what the owner can afford to pay and will take installments.

Whatever you do, this is a life-threatening condition for your Chi. She will die without veterinary assistance. She needs to go on a drip, at the very least, NOW.

The last thing she needs right now is food for at least 12 to 24 hours. Water is the only thing you should be giving her, to attempt to keep her hydrated. After that boiled rice and boiled chicken for a week after any sign of diarrhea has gone.

I completely agree with Nekked Kid. You HAVE to try to find a way to pay for it via finding a vet that will allow payments, or you have to give her up. Please don't attempt to self-treat when you don't know what is going on. This sounds serious.

Keeping her is selfish, and if you truly love her, you will want her to survive. I deeply feel for you--I know what it is like to go through financial dire straits myself--but you have to make do with what you have to work with, and that may mean an answer you don't prefer. I know that if I had a choice between saving my puppy, Tidus, and letting him die, I'd give him up so that he could live. Your dog needs to be with someone who can afford her care, both preventative and treatment when sick. Pets simply aren't a cheap commitment.

If you cannot find a vet that will allow payments, use a credit card, or have a friend/family member that will lend you the money, there is an organization called Home For Life (phone 1-800-252-5918). They are a no-kill organization for dogs and cats, and even if they can't help, they may help you find a shelter or option that can help.

My heart goes out to you and your dog. I am sure this is a heart-wrenching situation for you and I am sorry you are facing it. Please feel free to email me if you have any other questions or need help looking for additional sources.

This is a very straight forward situation. If you do have means to take her to the vet, do it NOW. If you don't, you Must surrender her immediatly to your local rescue centre. They may hold onto your dog for a period of time to allow you to find funds for her treatment plus any extra donations they require for you to get her back. You must do something now, or your dog will die. She is passing blood because her stomach is shedding its own lining due to all the pooping. At this stage water won't be absorbed quickly enough, her body will pass most of it through too fast, she needs a good electrolite treatment, which also costs, she needs to be hooked up to an I.V. Also, withhold any food for now as her body will use too much fluid to digest it.
She needs serious treatment from a professional asap. Without it she will die from dehydration before she even has a chance to fight off any infections that might be causing this.

You have to take her to the vet, if you are broke does this mean that she is not vaccinated? Can't you ask the vet if you can make payments. It is only twenty five to forty dollars to look at her. You better make sure she is drinking water. Are you sure it is blood. I would give up all of my lunches to pay for the vet. Just go to the vet you and explain your situation.

If there is a SPCA near you Take her to there and that will help her because the vet there is Free.Otherwise I dont know I wish I could help, just make her comfortable, and seek help and you can look it up on the internet it might tell you what to do.

if you cannot find a way at all to afford a vet, and the vet will not set up a payment plan, then you need to turn her over to a rescue so she can be taken care of. This sounds like something serious, and needs taken care of ASAP!

Bloody, liquid stools is a very sure sign of Parvo... a deadly disease... and very, very contagious! If you want the dog to live you NEED to have her seen by a vet! period! otherwise, well, otherwise she will die... I really, truly believe that Parvo does not go away on it's own.
I'm going to pray that it is NOT parvo, but you can't know till you have her seen and checked... blood in stools is never good, regardless.

Usually a vet will let you make payments...usually people don't have a lot of money laying around for things like this. When my cat got an abscess over his eye, we had to fork over almost 300.00 by the end of our payment plan. Maybe you could use a credit card to cover it for now.
Please don't let your baby suffer....take her to an emergency vet clinic.

Keep her warm, give her water, pet her and talk to her... try and keep her comfy.
