A twin bed is not as long as a king. But width wise it's very close.

Isn't that question a rather redundant one? Twins means two. So what is the trick part of your question?
OH, BEDS! I get it now, maybe. You'll end up with a King size bed. I know because I did it for years and so did my parents. King size bedding fits on it fairly well.
I think I better go to bed now.............in my REAL King size bed! ZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz.................................
