Well, this only works if you are at least a casual smoker, but smoking a cigarette works for a lot of people. The smoke relaxes your throat, settles your stomach, and covers the taste of the alcohol. Now, if you arn't a smoker, it may make you as sick as the alcohol, so it probably wouldn't work.

A lot of this also has to do with what your drinking. If its hard alcohol, then chasing it is a good idea. For example, if you're taking shots, chase it with soda, or with tequila, lime and salt works well. If you're drinking beer and you feel sick suddenly, it's probably due more to the amount of liquid in your stomach than the alcohol (unless you're really drunk and getting the spins). Eat dry, obsorband foods while your drinking or right before, such as saltine crackers, bread, etc. If you're getting the spins, you should probably stop drinking BUT DON'T LAY DOWN. That's the worst thing you could do. After a night of drinking, ALWAYS stay up for at least 30 minutes to and hour after getting home, drinking water and preferably eating light, healthy food. You will feel much better in the morning than if you flopped on the bed and passed out.

Never drink on an empty stomach. Many people think that if they don't eat before they drink, they can't throw up. WRONG. If nothing else you'll get the dry heaves... which are much more painful than throwing up. Eat a healthy, hearty meal 60-90 minutes before drinking, drink plenty of water/healthy fluids, and you should be alright. In then end, if you have to puke, then go for it. Everyone has gotten to that point, so take the ribbing from the guys and laugh it off.

Well I would stop drinking at that point, get the throwing up over with and out of my system, and just get home to lie down and drink water. You really don't want to overdue it with alcohol, that is really bad for you. I have been so drunk one time after having 10 shots of saki mixed with beer and like 5 bottles of miller lite that I threw up like 4 times during the night and 4 times the next morning while having the worst hangover imaginable. Damn it sucked like ****, I couldn't really do anything other than throw up and lay in bed sick for like half the day!

I'd definitely go throw up then drink a couple glasses of water, then continue drinking alcohol, but at a much slower pace.

Back in the college days, when you even remotely were feeling that urge, make a beeline to the bathroom or nearest trash or sink. There is nothing more embarrassing than puking on friends, their carpet, or all over yourself.

Depends what you are drinking. Beer blame it on drinking too fast. Hard liquor blame an empty stomach. Wine blame on being a female genital part.

Run, crawl, toddle to the nearest bathroom or bushes. And stop drinking!

throw up, it's not, like you have a choice ! i'd try to make it outside, or to the restrooms, if that's not an option, avoid barfing on yourself or any of your friends.
