My PS2 has just stopped turning on. It's less than a year old and I only really use it to watch DVD's ocassionally. Do you think its a problem with the power adapter? or something else?

You should call up Sony. I think there is a one year warranty on them. They should replace it or fix it for free.

Call the service. If it's less than a year old, you must still have a warranty. When I had PS2 (there was no slim then) - it started to make problems after a couple of years.

The Power Cord maybe dirty.Try disconnecting it and blow it out on the console and adapter then reconnect and see what happens. If that doesnt work I advise you to call up Sony if you system is still under warranty so they can repair it for you.
