Is it possible to have any other condition, that appears to be meth mouth but is not? I wouldn't want to make assumptions but what appears to be meth mouth has appeared in someone I know in the past 6 months. I need to know if there is any other possibility for it to be.

It is possible to get the effects of meth mouth through poor nutrition. However it is unlikely. Old time sailors would get Scurvy from lack of vitamin C. Nowadays, most of our food has so many additives that are based on something you get a lot of stuff that would prevent that. Does this person have any other signs of meth use? Weight loss? Periods of high energy or sleeplessness? Mood swings? Lack of money? Disappearances for hours or days? Unpleasant odor or loss of interest in personal hygiene? Some of these things will strike you if they are using meth. If they are, good luck to you. You will need it to help them. I live in a high drug use area. My sister and a lot of the people I know are complete waste cases. I mean people that were teachers, soccer moms, business owners etc. It is a vicious drug and to this day, I still don't know anyone that has been strong enough to overcome their addiction to it. I feel for you. Take care.

I have what looks like meth mouth but it was caused by bruxism. My bottom front teeth rubbed against my top teeth until they finally broke through. I've never taken meth. Don't jump to conclusions.
