I'm all about spending time now together, get to know eachother and what it is like being married. Go have fun if you can afford it, dream, make plans with eachother. In my opinion you're young and can have kids later.
My wife and I have been married for 7 years, no kids, we have our house, we manage our finances together, and finish eachother sentences. Pluse we never go to bed angry, and we do get mad at eachother. But we always work it out together.
If you start off without planning, you'll be surprised what can get in the way. So have your fun. And don't forget to go deep see fishing! Good Luck

If you can pay cash for the RV and save money for a house later, that would be cool. Remember that the RV will depreciate in value. You are going to loose money on it no matter what, but buying on credit would cost you even more because of the interest. As a matter of fact, if you want your marriage to get off to a great start, stay as far away from buying anything on credit as you can. Spending money you don't have yet is never a good idea and only adds stress to your relationship. The only concern I have about living in a RV, is the weather. A strong wind storm or tornado would not be good. Best wishes on your life together.

I would say this is the best idea ever!!! In the first year divorce rate is sooo high, and I know you have been together for five years, Im just saying its a whole new stress level, as well as buying a house. This way you only have to take on one big thing at a time. Like for example, one year you get married the next you buy a house and the next you have children. Many couples do all that at once and that is a lot to handle. I also like that idea because in a few years you wont be able to travel, because if you have a house you have pets and bills and maybe kids you have to deal with. I say go for it.

I know my HB and I would kill each other in that little cramped space. You have to have privacy!! When you have a fight you have to have a sanctuary. We lived in a 1 BR 1 Bath tiny apartment when we first got married. We about killed each other. Like others have said, How would you support yourselves while traveling? Is this occuring between college or after college. My advice is to finish college, get married, work a while to save the money for a house, travel, then kids. You will only be 22 when graduate. Work till you are 25, buy a house. When 26 travel and when 28, have kids. You have to get your career going after college and get some experience in your field and time to enjoy yourselves as a married couple.

That sounds like a wonderful plan! Very neo-hippy.
Most people plan on that sort of thing for after they retire.
You might want to consider having some alternative transportation to get around on, since that RV will cost a lot of money to go to work and back. Perhaps some of the higher-powered scooters. I run about on a Honda 600cc Silverwing scooter... love it.
You might also consider getting the "greasel" conversion kit installed in the RV so you can run bio-diesel.

How will you make money to buy gas and pay for the RV lot time? But hey, if you like being cramped in a small area, go for it. It'll probably be one of the best memories you'll ever have. Do it while you still can!
Good Luck!

If you both want to do it then I see nothing wrong with it. If you want to travel and experience life from an rv it's best to do it before you have kids. Hubby and I plan to do it AFTER kids but now we fear we'll never want to be that far away from them.
I say go for it!

You have to make money to be able to do the traveling that's wanted.
How much traveling can you do without money? Will you make money as you travel? Like work at a diner or what?
It's not a bad idea but you need a plan with the plan you have.

Yes, especially if you plan on having children later. You see, when you have children, you'll find that your money and time goes towards them. Children are a vacuum that just keep on sucking your energy, your time, your freedom and you won't be able to do these things. You'll regret not doing these things.
