Just to make it clear, this isn't my case - I was just wondering about this scenario and wondering if it would ever be appropriate...

Did SHE tell you this? I cannot believe this!!!
Well, Froggy: let her free to date other guys, but be present at the meetings. That's all.

I can't believe this ... I am disappointed ... maybe he is just making one of his jokes in order to upset my old-romantic heart.

Frog,
No woman - I mean zero - wants to date other guys if they are crazy about you.

It means she no longer wants to be in a committed relationship with you, and she wants to be free to go out with other guys that ask her out. Your next question would probably be - then why not just break up? She probably enjoys your company, and is used to you being in her life. She may also enjoy it when you buy her dinner, but I don't know her so I'll let you figure that out. Some women are simply too weak emotionally to go without a boyfriend for any amount of time, so they turn down the volume on Mr. Right Now while they look for Mr. Right. At least she's being upfront about it. Anyway - If you suspect this is the case - take appropriate inaction.

Bottom line is - she's not committed. I'd tell her to knock herself out. Anything else is going to come across as clingy, jealous, or weak in some way on your part, which will not further your case. Even if you don't want your case furthered - at least let her think you are perfectly fine. If it were some other reason for breaking up, I wouldn't promote this bs, but she's telling you she wants to put you on the back burner while she samples whatevers out there..

In the meantime, unless you are very, very sure she's extremely conservative, I'd back way off on the physical aspect of your relationship, unless you know for a fact that she's not going to catch something and pass it back to you.

The best thing you can do if you are crazy about her is play it cool, smile and tell her good luck, stay in good contact, but date other women. Don't try to hide it either. Be busy on the holidays. Go to the same restaurants you did before. I'm not saying make her jealous on purpose - I'm just saying serve her the dish she wants with a little salt and pepper. It will have alot more impact than if you tell her 'good luck on the date, and call me if you get home early and get bored'.

- Good luck
Kevin

Tell her this, "Ok go do that, then hang up or walk away...

that's it, dont answer her calls (if she does), talk to her in any way just completely ignore her. I know its mean but hey she's the one who told you its over.

If you really like her and dont wana lose her do what she's asking you but ignore her for a while like a month or so then when she realizes what shes done and beg for you to go back with her welll.....its up to you what you want after that.

Call her a hoe and tell her to suck a D ha ha. And do not be nice with your next women until at least 4 months later, meaning do not buy them nothing, dinner $1 menu and trust me you will have her

Er. No. She wants to cheat. BADLY. Tell her you are NOT open to it, and she has a problem, leave her, cause she will either go behind your back or dump you right there. Plus if she thinks she has to look anywhere else, she's not happy in the relationship, -possibly not even your fault-

that she's:

1. trying to break up with you and thinks this is a gentle way to do it

or

2. wants to have you on the sidelines in case her "something better" doesn't turn up

I would end the relationship immediately. Otherwise, she will cheat on your, that is if she hadn't already done it... So, do your self a favor and get out while you're ahead. Dump her before she dumps you.

Tell her to go right ahead, she can date whomever she pleases, except you. Tell her exactly where she can go, and find yourself someone that can handle a relationship.

i'd guess she needs to re-evaluate your relationship and make sure it's really what she wants. sometimes if girls stay in a relatioship for a long time, they may get bored and wonder if they're REALLY happy or just killing time. she wants to make sure she REALLY wants YOU. i guess this gives you the chance to do the same.

depends.. is she not happy in the relationship? is this her first relationship? etc... you have to keep your best interest at heart... for a relationship to be successful both parties have to be interested in it.. if you really like her... see potential in her and are secure in yourself... then you will let her roam... obviously respectfully and if it were meant she will find her way back home.
