Although protien is higher typically then carbs alot of spices and such I was lead to believe were the highest thermogenic foods and those were carbs. Also isn't fiber superior to protien in thermogenics? i'm actually asking I don't know.

negative calories is rubbish and a waste of time. excessive consumption of vegetables isn't making American's fat.

as far as the thermogenic effects of foods (TEF). proteins have the highest, then carbohydrates then fats. the TEF will account for 5-10% of the metabolic rate in the non-obese individuals. those that have the genetic predisposition for easy weight gain/obesity typically do not measure an increased metabolic rate as the result of feeding.

I believe that you are very insecure with yourself. You try to fill the void in your life with diet and fitness and then try to supress it on to other people....people like your much older, wiser and awesome sister. My advice would be to stop being and addicted to your body insecurities, get drunk and get laid ^_^
