Sadly it depends on the guy. You have to figure out what he means and that is not always easy. .
Usually sexy means, you get him aroused, and he could picture or dream about sex with you. . (not always though)
Beautiful, is a little more ethereal. . He finds you attractive and may be intimidated by you. . Or it may mean that he idolizes you and thinks you are great. .
Good luck figuring it out.
Hope this helps!

That's a question I can answer.....oh! and pass the mustard please!!
If you have some one that calls you both: than you've "got it" girl!! The most beautiful girls I've known are not trying to be beautiful...they just are. It's not just the look either! It's your over all personality both inside and out that makes beauty. Now "sexy" on the other hand, are those subtle things that you do to change your appearance that you don't do on a regular basis. I won't tell a woman what makes her beautiful or sexy. WHY? Because I wouldn't want her to change the things she does! I'll simply tell her how she looks at the time!

Yes, when a guy called you sexy, and not beautiful, you look extremely hot and he wants you like right now. But if a guy called you beautiful, and not sexy, then you might just be beautiful and lacking the sex appeal. If I have a choice, I prefer someone who's beautiful and sexy:0). But if I have to choose btw the two, I choose someone who's sexy over someone who's beautiful.

Yes. It's not a funny question or stupid, if you're sexy, they want in your pants...If you're beautiful, they see more than just what'll get them in your pants...imo
Although I know some guys think that those are the same things.
IMO, I would rather be called beautiful...Being called sexy is a turn-off and I walk away.

I'd rather be called beautiful any day. Anyone can be sexy, it takes something else to be beautiful.
Beautiful is more respectful, sexy means he wants to get in your pants.

Of course! THey are two different words with two different meanings. Honestly...if I were to call my gf sexy, I have already undressed her with my mind. If I call here beautiful, then I guess it has deeper meaning. Like beautiful inside and out kind of thing. It is hard to explain but I think you will get it.

I'd say the difference is "sexy" is for the looks, the outside, whereas "beautiful" is the inside, the beauty within.

Usually if your not with the guy and he calls you sexy...hes looking for a good time and most likly a little something something. But if he says beautiful then hes a bit more emotional and still wants some but is willing to put in time and effort.

When a guy says beautiful, I think that means he's thinking 'sexy' =) The male mind isn't built to comprehend the subtle differences ...

Well...
(hahaha!-- just kidding :)
Yes, I think there's a bit of a difference. "Sexy" seems a bit disrespectful unless the guy knows you very well and is "privileged" to say it. But just some guy on the street or a first date or something... saying "You're sexy," seems too intrusive to me. (They shouldn't be looking at you that way... and if they are, they shouldn't tell you!)
Saying "You're beautiful" sounds more respectful and good under all circumstances.
