it's like when we(girls)walk near them their voices get quiet then when we go away they get back to normal....

I haven't noticed guys being quiet when girls approach, but I certainly have noticed guys' behaviour becoming, as you put it, idiotic. This sort of situation is most common with youths and young men, they do grow out of it. This conduct is actually a manifestation of young people's sexual attraction to one-another, and is an undeveloped form of flirtation. Young girls also take part in this sort of thing.

Well, being quite is not idiotic.... It's normal for guys to get quiet when girls are around..the typical girl can't handle most guy converstions. Stuff that can not be typed here...but just think of the worst thing you can think of, and it would be ten times worse then that.

well we just dont want you to know that i have a great crush on you babe...hehe that is why we get quite and when you are gone we go back to talking about you..the same way with girls they also do those stuff
