What is the best, inexpensive digital camera out there?

One that offers a lot of features.
My husband and I want to purchase one but know nothing about them.....Can you smart people advise us ?

I bought a Sony DSC-W80 a couple of months ago for under 200 dollars. It is small compact and has some neat features. You can take video, it has an automatic steady shot and auto focusing. It also has auto flash and other neat things I cannot remember off the top of my head. It has a good battery that lasts a long time. You have to buy a memory stick so you can store more pictures in it. This camera is 7.2 Mega Pixels. That is good if you want to print average size photos 5x7s. I used to have a 4.0 mega pixel camera and this new one is much better.

Without a definition of what "inexpensive" means and what kind of "lots of features" you're looking for it is a very difficult question to answer.

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H9 is highly rated, as is the Canon PowerShot S5 IS.
