I was coming home the other night and I was going 75 mph, I know that was too fast, but what was unfair i think is that I was in a 55mph zone when he clocked me and turned his lights on. But when we finally got to a stop we were in a 45mph zone, and he said that i was doing 75 in a 45 mph zone, he also checked that it was daytime on the ticket, but it was really nighttime, could the ticket be void if there is a mistake. And should I fight the 55 to 45 thing. Im 16

they are supposed to write the ticket where they saw the crime done. if the cop saw you speeding in 55 mph zone then thats how it should be writen.
but remember, cops do what they want to you. they have all the power. your better off never speeding. if your late somewhere just be late.
i know if you go to court to fight it, even though it wont be dismissed the judge mostlikely might downgrade the ticket just because you went to court and you were concerned. downgrade is good / better. take that
defineatly go to court, it will benefit you. you never want a moving violation on your background. your insurance will go up for 3 years and you will get 2 points against you.

Minor errors like if it was day light out or not won't void the ticket. You can raise the question in court about what zone you were in. That would possibly reduce the severity of the ticket depending on the state. I'd try to talk to the prosecutor before court and see if you can get them to offer you a plea since you were speeding they might knock the speed down for you.

first dont worry we all make mistakes
( learn ). The ticket can not be avoided, However plea not guilty and tell the judge the 75 in a 45 problem/night time day iam sure he will reduce it. Go to court dress well and be confident.
you'll be fine and learn from your mistakes is the most important thing!!!!!

It certainly won’t hurt to try and fight it. You’ve already admitted that you were going 75 – just that the 45mph should be 55mph, etc. Usually if people are reasonable, polite, truthful, they can get some sort of break. Maybe they will forgo the points on your record – you’ll never know unless you try.

I'd certainly go to court and see what the judge says, but you were breaking the law and you know it..so go to court, tell the judge about the mistakes and that the officer didn't stop you till WAY late..and it was night as opposed to day...see if the ticket goes away.
If the ticket is invalidated, please remember to thank the judge for his/her kindness..BE polite, don't be an a** in court...(they don't owe you anything, even their time...)

Fight the 55 to 45 thing to lower the bail, then go to traffic school. Nothing you're going to do to get out of it though.

No. The ticket might get reduced if you talk to the judge, but there is zero chance of getting it voided or thrown out based on what you wrote here.

just goto traffic school but you still have to pay the fine and it still goes on your record...and slow down because too many tickets affect your insurance :-)
Take care!
