I believe that each person should pray about it and make that decision for themselves. I was faced with that potential and I chose to keep it no matter what. I still had the amneo so I could prepare if she did have downs (But fortunately for me, she didn't)
For myself, I didn't feel right about doing it, but I wouldn't take someone else's right to do it away.

No! It's still a human life! That child still deserves to live out his/her life - to be born into the world and live its life. Abortion is murder - period. If she's a Christian mom, she wouldn't even think about killing her unborn child, even if it has 'down syndrome'. She would love it and raise it the same way as any other child. To abort it would also be the same as saying that, because it's not 'normal', it's ok to abort it.
I have seen young people with 'down syndrome' working in fast food restaurants, being a productive part of society. It gives them a feeling of being wanted and needed, doing something for their community - helping people. They can work and be productive like everyone else. Just because they are 'special needs' children, doesn't mean they can't function in society like the rest of us! Bottom line is: don't abort!

When a woman I know was pregnant her doctor told her that her baby had down syndrome and she should abort it. She decided against it because she couldn't kill her baby. That baby was born perfectly normal. We have been best friends all our lives, 22 years now. It's not the baby's fault she/he could be sick. Besides, what if that doctor was wrong?

Some really great people have Down's syndrome. Would you deny a really great person a chance at life because it would cause you to sacrifice a little?

Absolutely not. A baby with Down syndrome is just as human as any other baby.
Killilng people with disabilities -- that's something that a guy named Hitler used to be into.

My wife works with Downs Syndrome kids...
If you asked her that face to face, she'd slap the taste out of your mouth.
And she's Pro-choice.

No.
If she found out that it wouldn't abide by the rules that govern tense agreement later in life, though, then it'd be okay.

Why don't you go ask someone with Downs syndrome. I'm sure it would make them feel real good to know you don't think they're worthy of life.

No, it is still murder!! God placed that baby there for a reason! If the mother can not handle the fact that her baby has a disability she should give it up for adoption! There are plenty of loving people who would love to raise him or her!
