Hello!

Russian is a really one of the most difficult languages to learn due to its complicated grammar and pronunciation that is quite confusing for English speakers.

I saw the books that they sell in Borders and Barnes & Noble, and honestly, didn't like most of them. I think the best way for you is to find a Russian tutor. Any way is good: E-mails, messenger, phone and personal conversation. Try to find one, and if there is none, concact me. I've been tutoring it for more than 14 years.

Best regards,

Natalya

It's a difficult language to find anywhere, especially if you are out of college. The only thing I can think of that you can do is try picking up some language-learning software. Best Buy, Staples, Office Depot, Circuit City, and places like that often have it. Target or Wal-Mart might, too. Then get some books from Borders or Barnes and Noble, preferably something with workbooks, to compliment the software and get reading! Honestly, this is a difficult way to learn. The best ways are to find a native speaker to communicate with or to take classes. If none of those are available to you, my suggestion is your next best choice. Good luck!

Well, first off, you'll need a dictionary (Russian-English, English-Russian), that is most essential in language learning. The above answerer was correct in informing you to look for language learning software, however I would suggest looking online for such software as there are more choices and better resources. Look on amazon.com for books, videos, music (learning through song is amazingly helpful), etc. I would also suggest looking for children's books! These books are very beginner, even for Russian children, so it gives you a good foundation.

Good luck!
