I think you are intelligent, probably a good conversationalist, but you may be more aggressive than guys like.
Two suggestions: 1. always hold something in reserve. Don't lay all your cards on the table, figuratively speaking. 2. work on your listening skills. We can all be better listeners, me included (especially me) and it's hard to listen when you're talking.
Incidentally, you are a lot like my wife, from your description, and we have been married 25 years and I have no immediate plans to get rid of her, so there is hope if you can't change.
But if I was going to wish for her to change anything it would be the suggestions I have given you.
I could not date or marry a woman who is not intelligent. I have tried it and didn't like it, so there is far more hope for you than you might think. Don't ever settle for a guy who isn't intelligent. You will find him boring beyond belief.

Personally no. I would rather have a girl who is really loud and speaks her mind then one who says nothing at all. Most dating that ends on the first date is from lack of communication. Plus if you are really loud why would you change who you are for someone elses benefit. Be yourself, if people don't like, their problem

Sorry, I'm not a guy, but I'm going to give you my opinion (I read something like it somewhere or something).
Guys don't like to be "overdone" by girls. Like in sports, if you're better than them, they'll feel intimidated or whatever, because they want to be the "strong" masculine ones in a relationship. Some may want to feel that they have to protect you. So if you're the more outgoing one (NOTHING wrong with that! Don't change!! I wish I could be more like that.) and he's quieter, he probably feels intimidated.

Don't let people tell you what you should do. Never alter your personality for anyone. Someone will like you for who you are. I personally do not like quiet girls. I dont like to have to always throw subjects out there to start conversations.

Believe me, I wish girls would be more aggressive.
I hate being a guy and being burdened with having to ask someone out.

well honestly,
Every guy is different on the way they like a girl, i mean some guys may like the quiet ones others may like the ones that like to talk,
but i mean if you are too loud that even you know that you are being loud, it may get annoying to most guys, or maybe not
but most importantly be yourself, don't change for some guy you like, i mean if he is going to like you, it will be better if he likes you for who you really are
i mean if you like being loud you shouldn't change the way you are just to make a guy to like
and if he doesn't like you for who you are, then maybe that guy isn't for you

Some guys are intimidated by girls like this, but you are who you are. If you alter your behavior to get a guy and then once you're dating you start "being yourself" and he can't deal with it, well then you've wasted his time and yours. Be yourself - you'll find someone who likes you just the way you are.

That's a tough one. I like girls who are assertive to a point, but girls who like to argue about everything are a little tiring. My ideal girl is one who i can be relaxed around, and not have to feel like i'm on-guard constantly.
That being said, you shouldn't try to tailor your personality to suit someone you think is cute - obviously, that wouldn't be a very effective long-term strategy.

I prefer both...i DON'T prefer the flirty ones, cause they're the usual ones to flirt even while in relationships.
I guess I'd be more apt to notice the louder one, but I've been known to go for the shy ones too...

I like a girl who can hold a conversation, is knowledgable and is outgoing, you sound like the type,
girls just need to be themselves, you don;t have to change for anybody.
Good luck
