Hi. The simple truth is that there is no straightforward answer to your question. Digital does not always imply better image quality in the case of a video connection. It is not possible to predict whether HDMI cables will perform better than an analogue (Component) video connection. There are significant differences in the way digital and analogue signals are handled that are heavily dependent upon the characteristics of the Source device and the display rather than on the type of video connection used.

you probable do no longer could issue approximately in case you may or no longer. all of them exceedingly lots have HDMI now. HDMI is the only thank you to get a 1080p sign from a source like the PS3 to the television. On a smaller liquid crystal reveal television devoid of HDMI it does not have mattered because of the fact it could purely have been 720p and factor video is able to wearing 720p and 1080i only high-quality. particularly any television it extremely is 1080p decision will decide on HDMI to be triumphant in that decision and it will make a distinction in how stable it sounds as though in reaction to how vast the television is and how a ways away the television is. in case you're watching a 40 two" from 10' it is complicated to work out the version in decision. If although you're watching a fifty two" from 8' the version will grow to be greater obvious. HDMI is likewise able to better shade intensity and accuracy. this could be substantive at almost any length as long because of the fact the television could hire the better shade sign. meaning better shade assessment which no producer talks approximately yet is between the excuses better manufacturers are greater costly.

I pretty much agree with Robert, it all depends on the type of TV,DVD,sat, box you have it also depends on your vision i myself see component video as a more solid more colorful picture then hdmi also hdmi is some times grainy it pretty much depends on what you like.buy the TV and DVD or what ever your getting and buy both hdmi and component video cables and make it your best picture.good luck

Yes generally speaking, but it depends on your gear and what you are trying to do, both have advantages and disadvantages.
-HDMI cables carry all digital signal, video and audio, but you have to be careful on the length.
-Component cables carry analog signal. Thus a conversion has to be done at some point to display on a HD TV. Component cables typically only support 1080i. But they can run quite a long distance without a repeater.

NO
It depends on the application, source, other equipment etc.. as to which is better. There is no blanket statement of which is better. In fact that is the wrong question. That can only be answered case by case.
