I have never tried to convert someone, but I have shared my testimony with people who believed different than I do many times. One person was converted after studying more, but I never tried to convert her. I simply answered her questions and supported her. Conversion comes through the Holy Ghost, so no level of coercion or begging can convert someone, it is something that takes place in the heart.

Reasoning to Religionists, doesn't matter what religion,

But "reasoning to religionists is like sunshine to vampires" (patcondell)

By the way..watch the Zeigeist movie series on youtube starting with this 9 minute segment, enter the suffix, watch?v=KeZB2EsPqGE, after youtube dot com and gain knowledge; and then, search for The awesome wit of patcondell on youtube.

Then come back after the Truth sets you free.

Yes, unfortunately, back when I was a lot younger and a Christian, I actually tried to convert people. The church I was brought up in really pushed its members to try to convert people. They really put a guilt trip on you if you didn't invite other kids to religious stuff the church did.

The church would be constantly reminding us that if we didn't manage to "save" people, then they would go to hell. They told us that if we didn't want our friends to burn in hell for eternity, then we had to try and get them to "accept Jesus".

I really hated trying to convert people, it made me miserable. I suspect that one of the reasons I hated it so much was because, somewhere in my subconscious, I knew that the religion just wasn't true.

Also, most of my friends were already decent people, even if they weren't religious. None of them had ever done anything that seemed like it would make sense for God to torture them for all of eternity. I was very uncomfortable telling good people that they were going to hell if they didn't "accept Jesus". It just didn't make sense.

I actually did manage to "convert" some people. I feel pretty guilty for getting those people to believe in those lies. I really hope they aren't still involved in that crap.

Every time I think back to those days, I feel a little bit ill.

My child, I really feel for you! And I hate to tell you but they will be after you forever!
It is my belief that what path a person chooses is their choice, and if they ask I will provide my wisdom, but if they don't ask, then I keep it to myself. If only the rest of the world was that way. Especially those who take it upon themselves to share their experience (testimony) when not asked!
My advice is to ignore them all and start researching different religions and philosophies, and eventually the right one will come your way without the prompting from others!

Only 14 huh? Well don't worry this too shall pass. It gets worse as you go along. Wait till someone tries to make you acccept secular progressivism, or socialism, or puts a gun to your head (literally) and wants you to accept Islam. Yeah it really sucks when you are 14 and some one wants to share the word of Jesus with you. They want to just throw you in a van and force you into a big building with hundreds of people praying and worshipping Jesus. They are just horrible people aren't they? I bet they gave you a soda and a cookie, maybe even a hot meal. Have any of those morons tried to introduce you to others your age just like you? I bet they did. And they called it a "youth group". Yeah these people are just horrible. Any of them ask you strap a bomb on your body yet? Or tell you to kill your parents because they don't believe?

No I don't shove My Jesus Christ, on anyone, Loving Jesus Christ is not a religion... It is a gift of the most wonderful love I have ever known in my entire life, When people do shove their religion on others that is spiritual abuse, and God Don't want you to feel like He is forcing Him self on you. He wants you to accept Him with open arms. now when people do that to you that is a sign to walk a way...God Bless you Little sister in Jesus Christ....

I figured out a long time ago there's no god, and I don't bother trying to tell anybody anything.
Just tell the church folks to take a hike.
