i don't think you should really get her much. it's the first date. but def. don't kiss her if you haven't already. you should at least wait till the 3rd date, so she knows you respect her. i think getting her maybe some cute flowers (NOT roses) maybe carnations, or daisies. that's what i'd want. but nothing over $5. you'll seem kinda stocky-ish or obsessive. that's never a good vibe. :p

it is sweet that you want to give her something to show how much you like her; however, for the 1st date - just show up on time and be a gentleman (open doors and make her feel like a lady). If there is a second, third date then you should show her by showing up with flowers. Don't do a gift because it would be overwhelming.

It's only the first date. It's going to look like you're WAY too serious if you buy her stuff already.
You will likely scare her off.
Just go out and have a good time and see what happens.

Don't overdo it a single rose or maybe a small bouquet of her favorite flowers definitely not a dozen roses on the first date

DONT EVER GIVE HER A GIFT ON THE FIRST DATE. seriously, that says needy like will not believe. If you guys go out to dinner or a movie or something, offer to buy to show that you care but don't buy her something. Keep it cool.
