The elderly, women and children?

2007-12-02 14:24:29 · 24 answers · asked by Soul Man 6 in Society & Culture Religion & Spirituality

I think there have been more than one million killed since 2001. I know terrorists are killing others but there were no suicide bombers in Iraq before the invasion. And yes, I do have room to talk and no, I am not blaming America.

Maybe some people feel guilty because they pray to God, yet turn a blind eye to America atrocities.

the government gives the denominations "Faith based funding" so they have their preachers tell them patriotic stories about Christian snipers in vietnam... Christians love stories of killing, especially when you base them on someones "faith."

Who would Horus/Jesus Snipe?

There were a lot of non-combatant Germans, Japanese, British, French, and more killed in World War 2. Who knows how many Korean civilians were killed during the Korean conflict. Shall I continue?

We grieve over every lost life, and every lost soul, during this war. But we have to remember, this is WAR, and this is REAL, and we are fighting an enemy who wants to see us destroyed or at least nullified. Who knows how many more will die if we pull out before victory is secured? And let us never forget, the enemy has only one philosophy--we win or they win. This is the only "peace" they know.

Certainly we don't believe every Iraqi citizen or every Arab is a gun-toting, American-hating, lunatic bent on bombing the good old USA. Far from it! Many want us to keep on doing all the good we can--check out some of the non-liberal biased newspapers or TV reports. But if we give up now, cut our losses and high-tail it back home, can anyone imagine how many MORE will die? Think about it.

Our clergy pray for BOTH sides. Our clergy speak out where all can hear them. They pray for peace and understanding.
And by the way, how many Muslims have killed their own women, children and elderly? And punish women by raping them. Then your courts show their compassion by giving them 200 lashes. You have no room to speak my friend.
Due to the US presence in Iraq, there have many less killed by their own people.

Peace be with you and all of your relatives. And I mean that.

Leaders are leaders, they do protect who should be protected first and foremost... but personally, I don't know about what our clergy or spiritual leaders think of those innocent bystanders but we do pray that the spirit/s will have the glorifications of God.

Any such collateral damage was unintentional. In fact the military is there protection those people from the bloodthirstly Islamic terrorist who are trying to kill them via suicide bombing and the like. - SAVAGES!

What about the thousands of Arabs, killed by OTHER Arabs.

Last time I checked, the Middle East has an explosion every week or so...BOOM. Stop killing yourselves and things will be better.

Oh, and stop blaming the USA for putting sharks in your rivers.

Collateral damage, pure and simple. What do you think happens in war? That only soldiers die? Of course, you're talking about people (muslims) who use their own people as shields to absorb the damage meant for their "leaders".
