Slowly, one step at a time. Gradually start moving your body more and making healthier food choices. There is no miracle cure.

Some easy places to start. Eat 5 to 7 servings of fruits and vegetables each day. More veggies than fruit, more raw than cooked.

If you eat a simple salad of mixed greens and low cal dressing or an apple, celery sticks, or a pear before each meal, you will eat less of the other foods. Also adding a low sodium soup after the salad or apple etc. and before the rest of the meal will leave you with less appetite for the more calorie dense foods.

Drink 8 glasses of water each day (not tea or juice or soda, water)

Get up and walk for 10 minutes 3 times a day. Stand up and walk in place during tv commercials,

If you concentrate on adding these things to your normal choices rather than worrying about giving anything up, you will probably find that you are too full to eat some of the less healthy foods on the menu. If your thirst is satisfied so you will drink fewer of the less healthy drinks. Also being dehydrated can decrease your metabolism about 3%.
