Or do most Christians seem to not question anything about their religion, or in life for that matter. They just accept it.

People are accusing me of not knowing.
I live in a town of great faith.
I have read the bible
I know the differences between denominations.
Nice job making assumptions.

No, it is not you.You are correct even if those answers above me say it is just you. I have been around many years and have seen and experienced things myself and the average Christian is quick to say someone else is not knowledgeable of their religion when in reality it is themselves.
Heck ask some Christians about how old the church is and they will claim that King David was a member of the church. Some believe that Abraham was a Christian Even though he lived hundreds of years before Christ.
Just observe this board this month and you will find many who think Jesus is the reason for the season and want Christ put back in Xmas. that tells you how much they really know about their religion. If they knew the truth their Jesus would not want anything to do with this season.

St. Augustine questioned his religion Christianity for a while; along with the other religions and cults he was involved in. He even used the problem of evil to disprove Christianity. He doubted religion in general for many years because he couldn't deal with the the inaccuracy's and leaps of faith (something that he wasn't used to because he dealt in reason) until he mean a Priest name Ambrose of the Church. He told him to look at the bible as allegory and something to help you live a good life. With that he converted and began to make a philosophy of Christian. Using ACTUAL REASON and LOGIC, with makes kind of sense ( I still doubt religion thought). OH yeah, he revolutionized Western thought with his studies, and work.
Not if every religious person were deal in reason and is open to so many religions as St. Augustine did (August, the month, was named after him) the world would be a much better place. People would spend their time trying to prove each others religion with a pen and reason, not with sword and hate. For this St. Augustine has my complete respect. One in a Billion

Perhaps you should clarify that it seems most Christians don't question "outside" their religion. They seek the answers to any questions or doubts within their narrow scope. A lot refuse to look for answers outside.
To be fair, some I know have no trouble reading "secular" things but will believe Faith based things over "secular". No offense intended.

Perhaps you should have worded it as "many" rather than "most".
It is my belief that they are taught that if it is in the Bible then it is not to be questioned, that the bible is 100% accurate. Because it was written by God, not by man ( I guess he dictated). But perhaps they need to be a bit more open minded and not just accept things because the bible says so.
I have to say that MOST of the Christians I know question nothing when it comes to their religion. but at least I got them to stop condemning me for my beliefs. And believe me that was no easy feat!

I was a Christian, but I decided NOT to believe in "Mortal Sin" since no creator who is "just" would condemn his creations into eternal hellfire and brimstone for possessing hungers that he created in them.
I believe the only "sin" is a conscious waste of energy.
I believe that all conscoius dishonesty, such as religion, politics and the real estate business are conscious wastes of energy.
I believe that people exert enormous amounts of energy trying to believe each other's lies so they can go home and believe that their own lies are the truth.

You are certainly not alone in your view many share this assumption about Christians. But it is not correct, it is because we question and think for ourselves that you see so many faiths, practices, teachings, denominations etc.........
As far as life in general, yes we certainly question things, but like other people, we realize that we can't "fix" everything.

i know i deff question my religiion. why would i just accept it. unless i have proof to back up my claims and faith. if you want to see the evidence i woud read a case for Christ or other things by Lee Strobel.
i dont know what christians u know, but that is deff not the christians i know. after researching both atheism and christianity, it would take more faith for me to be an atheist.

Yes, that's just you.
You're jumping to a conclusion without taking all the information into consideration. Do you even know most Christians? How many Christians have you met? Have you ever read any books on Christian theology? How many Churches have you attended? Do you know anything about Christian demographics? How many denominations can you name? Can you summarize the beliefs of those denominations?
