are you referring to moving closer to be with you mother and he is moving with you?? thats the only way i can think that you would "take" him away from his family. but its always his choice...

why does he need to be with your sick mother? you think your sick mother wants him around? leave him with his family and you go take care of your mother who needs you.

Im not sure why he needs to be with your sick mom, but at any rate you arent holding a gun to his head.If he is doing it to be with you then that is HIS choice.
