YES!! It really means something if you wait, not just, ho hum, another roll in the hay. I don't say you have to wait for marriage, but you should be in a long-term committed relationship that has already proven important to both of you over a period of a couple of months, if not longer.

And waiting for marriage is okay, too, if you don't rush into marriage just to get sex.

As for age, it's more a matter of maturity of the two of you and of the relationship, but I'd think very few people are ready for sexual relations until they have finished high school. That's minimum; in your 20s is better. AND in a long-term proven relationship.

Even if you are using birth control, if a pregnancy would be devastating, then you probably are not ready for sex. If your relationship and you are strong enough to support having a baby, even if you don't really want one quite yet (or ever), then you and the relationship are probably mature enough for sex.

Sweetie, you thinking about engaging into very risky behavior. Making love is an adult behavior with very adult consequences. Do you want to give up your dreams to raise a child? Do you want to deal with contracting an STD (according to recent news reports, HIV is on the rise with young adults)? Can you handle being used for sex? Making love is more than the physical act. It is a bonding of two souls to produce a new soul. You should save making love until you are in a committed relationship. BTW: marriage is a committed relationship. God bless.

Depends on the individual. I would say probably not, but if it makes some people happy, good for them.

I think as long as you're not feeling pressured into having sex, and you're not having a lot of trouble abstaining and going against your desires to the point it interferes with your life, then whenever you are ready is fine.

quite the opposite "Deez". The longer the wait, the better it is...especially if it's with someone who u really love...
Cheap sex= u get what it's worth....nothing cuz it's just cheap and like other cheap things, can easily fall apart and even make u sick...

Real sex is worth the wait. Think, ANTICIPATION!. you won't regret waiting, but u will, without a doubt, regret NOT waiting.....

well it depends. I'm not at that age but in NZ the age is 16, And I think it is a good thing to wait till you find the right one. who cares about the age you are. I think it would be worth it though personly.

Nope. I haven't heard any logical reason to wait for sex before marriage yet, and I've never heard about anyone waiting until 18 either.

Do it when you are fully ready to do it then it is worth it. If you feel pressured, then you are not ready. You'll just know when you are ready because you won't feel pressure and it'll be because it's what YOU want to do.
