It might sound absurd but yes some do. Some almost demand to be confronted and their statements challenged. It feeds a persecution fantasy that some have. So many live such comfortable and privileged lives that they feel guilty for it.
Proof:
"Christians are persecuted- read up on it. And yes, the Bible does tell us that the world will hate us because we represent Christ. We know and expect this. So no- it is not fun, but we take it willingly because we love our God."
This is a person who compared to 99% of the world lives not only in luxury but within the country she lives in her particular belief system has been afforded preferential treatment in the law and politics.
And yet she truly believes she's persecuted.

To be honest, until I started reading Yahoo Answers I didn't know how many people judged Christians as harshly as they do. I guess I was living under a rock or something. And the things that they say and call God and Jesus just blow me away. That's what makes me mad. I don't take what they say about Christian religions too seriously, I mean I'm a Catholic and there's some things I don't agree with so I can understand why non Christians would not understand, but when they say what they say about our Lord and Savior, that just feels like I've literally been stabbed through the heart.

No, does anyone really enjoy being heckled?
But I've found that when a question looks like it will upset me, I have the choice to choose which questions to answer and which ones to ignore.
I saw one a few minutes ago and almost answered it, but realized that the people asking the question really were not going to give my answer any respect, so I simply clicked off from it and went on to the next one.
But, it took me a long time to get to this point. I used to really get upset and spend my time on here defending my faith, but then realized that the people who continue to heckle Christians seem to enjoy getting a rise out of others.

No, of course not.
Heckling and being ridiculed beats being impaled and lit as torches or being killed in other horrible ways, and certainly better than being ignored!
And really, being made fun of is more about the person doing the ridiculing than it is about the ridiculed.
The Nazis did it to the Jews and Gypsy's and the Jehovah's Witnesses before arresting them.
Be cautious whenever you start speaking about groups as "they", as in "...that way they..."
It's a dangerous way to stop seeing them as real individual people with thoughts and feelings not unlike yours.
We are all human beings first.
And a word to the wise, many folks have had to eat their words after finding themselves believing the very things they once made fun of.

Who likes being heckled and made fun of? I don't. But I take encouragement from this:
Matthew 5:10
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
2 Timothy 3:12
In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted
Keep mocking if you feel you must, but remember:
Galatians 6:7
Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.

No Christians in the west are truly persecuted.
But how about you take a trip to North Korea and see the labour camps where Christians are being held, many awaiting death, for the "crime of being Christian"

Since the beginning of Christianity this has happend. Nothing new, under the Sun. The anti-christ is roaming the Earth and this is what is happening now. The war between God , God's children and the anti-christ. We never know what hour He cometh. When the time comes the non-believer will know that there is a God.

No, I don't..I hate having people, that don't even know me, say hateful things to me. I hate seeing other people made the brunt of cruel remarks too. It really bothers me when you read the profiles of people and find out they are mature adults with children or even educators. I wonder what is wrong with life that people can sit behind a monitor and type such obnoxious things to people they know nothing about!

This one does. I'm afraid I am not a very good Christian, I take their arguments, taunts and jibes, disassemble them point out the inconsistencies and false assumptions and then leave them with a shattered world view to try a piece back together.

We are no different than anyone else.We have feelings and emotions just like others. No we do not like to be laughed at or mocked or made fun of. But christians do try to have the right spirit about others.Hopefully we can be like Jesus and pray Father forgive them for they know not what they do.
