as a believer myself i understand how frustrating and disgusting atheist humour can be on R&S. i personally havent met or had to deal with the kind of comments ive read here by atheist and some are so obnoxious with their disrespect of God i literally say a prayer on their behalf asking God's forgiveness for their ignorance. After all they dont believe so they aint going to ask forgiveness for theirself.
However much i hate reading such comments i dont allow it to fester any ill feelings towards them, but of course its difficult not to get upset. As believers we must plod on and not reply in kind. yes sometimes i lose it and will call some-one an idiot. however atheist comments are posible because of their disbelief so its understandable. i find christians who are abusive harder to swallow then atheists who are abusive.
i get more upset at believers and the crap believers (especially christians) give each other. As a catholic i dont appreciate christians (protestants) who deny the christianity of catholics. it offends me that so many do not see us as their christian brother and sister. Protestants ask questions directed at catholics yet accept protestant answers as facts.
its silly to boycott R&S as atheists too have as much right as believers to be here, thats just common sense. I dont think they would have so much fun here if we christians didnt give them them so much ammunition. which we do when we are abusive to each other so of course atheist will have fun with that too
may i suggest you stay and defend Jesus' Name ...there are many genuine people here doing the same....and ignore atheists who are idiots. not all atheist are trolls but like believers they entitled to their opinion too here on R&S
Peace of Christ to you

The only reason I keep coming back, is there are some legitimate questions and answers on here sometimes. Yes, maybe not a lot. But there are some atheists who answer with respect. And there are some Christians that answer with disrespect. So, the best thing to do is ignore the trash, and only answer what you consider legitimate. And only look at answers that show respect. You can't let the bad ones run you away from answering those legitimate questions. I don't understand why they want to come on this site either, but they do have a right to, just not the right to verbally abuse people. Christians will always be persecuted, even Jesus was persecuted. God bless.

I see my time here as a way to toughen my hide for the times when I talk to these monkeys face to face.
The "persecution" here is fairly mild, but it does exist.
The only thing I really dislike about sharing this space with atheists is when that ONE jerk out there cries that asking for prayer is not allowed on here.
I mean seriously, this is the RELIGION AND SPIRITUAL section; where else would you find topics on "prayer"?
BUT ask for prayer here and you might get reported for doing a no-no.
So in that matter, the persecution is real and unfortunate.
I would like to take this time to ask you to please join us more often.
Even though there are some reall jerks here, every once in a while someone pops up that is in real need of real answers; who knows, you may be just the one to give that person the answer they need to hear the most.
God bless!

It's an open forum where anyone with an opinion on the subject can post. I would say the fact that almost no one here even theists are talking about theology it's a moot point.
Based on the number of question directed at atheists perhaps it should be called "ask an atheist".
Tell you what. Convince all of the theists here to talk only about theology for a week and I promise you atheists will leave. Of course so will most theists.

Yes . Christians are being challenged and major attempts to persecute us are being done on this site. To me, it is like meeting satan head on. I won't back down or stand alone, as I know many Christians are here to defend their beliefs. The anti-christ is continually de-grading the word of God. Christian Soldiers , put on the Armor of God. We can do all things through Christ, who strengthens us. We will win.

you're allowed to ask questions approximately any difficulty, specific. in case you're a hater of Christians, then you definately in basic terms tutor that the prophecies of the Bible are real----"keep in mind if the international hates you, that they first hated me," Jesus suggested. "Any style" of interrogation---could look to point that we are on trial. i would not think of all people, Christian or in any different case, could rejoice with being interrogated. in case you have biblical questions or in case you have questions approximately different religions, as nicely, that are formed in a deferential, publicly perfect way---then i'm useful they could be spoke back interior a similar way.

They have no conscience. I see that they revel in abuse. That's okay. God didn't want most people anyway. ( Romans 9, John 6 , Luke 13, etc. )

I know It is hard to understand, Hon. But where else will we find the unbeliever, God brings them to us here. Have patience God isn`t finished with them yet. It is our job to tell the good news to those who don`t know it. And, you know, if God is at work, so is the devil. However, I read the end of the book. We win.. Just keep your chin up and remember that the only Jesus some folks see, is in you.. Let your light shine... {:-)

The day I see Christians told they can't marry for their beliefs, and money is printed "under reason and science," I will believe that Christians are persecuted. Until then, you are still the moral majority in the US. It isn't atheists denying gays the right to marriage. Atheists aren't out there bombing abortion clinics and killing living humans. Christians are.

Sweetheart, you don't know what persecution is.
Persecution is when you can't run for public office unless you profess a belief in a higher being.
Persecution is not having people give opposing views to yours on a public website.
