I prefer a punching bag or punching a pillow to relieve stress. You don't have any mess to clean up afterwards like you would with the balloons. So you won't get stressed afterwards.

I wouldn't say so. A loud noise such as a popping balloon puts lot of stress on the ears. However, I think popping the bubbles on bubble wrap is a good stress reliever.

Why not? I met a woman who went to the Salvation Army Store or another like it and bought ceramic plates by the box full. When she was going through a rough time she would pull out those plates, flinging them on the side of the garage. She didn't mind cleaning it up. She said she always felt better after she did this and would head out to replenish her supply for the next fling. Not a bad idea!

sure, it works wonders. i've got tried it earlier. yet after that, the sound of the popping balloons have been stressful. so, that's a stress reliever and extremely stressful on an identical time =]

No, I don't. But popping my fist into the faces of a room full of my ex boyfriends really does the trick ;)
