Anyone know any free (training) certification programs (for any kind of subject)? Preferably on-line stuff.

This varies widely, depending on where you are. You need to be more specific.
Your question is like asking "How long is a piece of string".

Most will charge you, and some of THEM aren't worth the paper you'll have to print it out on. If you want a free one, or a paid one, you need to be more specific in what you are looking for, or you'll get any from free cookery exams (now that should be fun to do online) to cycling proficiency. If you're after the usual fake college/uni diplomas then they normally have to be paid for, and if you use them for anything other than fun (especially if you use it to get a job) it could be considered a criminal offence

Brainbench.com has free tests on many subjects, from mechanics to technology.

They also have pay-for tests, and I have taken quite a few and had a good experience with their system - Hope this helps, and good luck!
