Yes - 9 out of 10 times! If I already have the outdoor grill going, it's real easy to just put them face down for the last 20 to 30 seconds of grilling. If indoors and the broiler is on, it's still only about 30 seconds face up to my broiler. Otherwise, take a frying pan and get it to medium or medium high heat and put the bun face down for about 45 seconds! I don't butter them (don't need the calories), but some people prefer their buns buttered! (You can take that last part ANY way you want to!)

Yes i toast hamburger and hotdog buns. I use the oven. If you have a toaster oven that works just as well.
I sometimes use a pan to toast hamburger buns. I brush them with a bit of butter. Or olive oil. which ever you want.
Oh! Watch the hotdog buns when toasting. You can get the too crunchy and break when you take that first bit!

I like my hotdog buns steamed and I do this by laying two knives on the pot that I am boiling the hotdogs in and opening the buns and lay them across the knives so that they get nice and soft. I don't usually toast my hamburger buns; when I am cooking hamburgers on the grill I will put cheese on the patties when they are almost done and then put the buns on top of the cheese. This makes the hamburger buns crispy on the edges and melted cheese inside the bun. Mmm, Mmm Good. Now you went and made me hungry!

I toast my hamburger buns. Brush lightly with butter and toast on grill.
I steam my hot dog buns, after cooking your hot dogs, place hot dog in bun, wrap in paper towel, and zap in microwave for 15 seconds.

I would freeze them and use them another time. If you have the freezer storage the that's what I suggest you do. Here are some things you can do if you really need to use them now. 1: Make Garlic bread. 2: Oven bake and use as bread dips. 3: Use as regular bread in conjuction with your meal. 4: Pizza, put some pizza toppings on top and oven bake them. 5: Feed the birds.

Cute question.
I don't toast them, but I prefer them toasted. How would I do that home? In the frying pan? too many pots then. under the broiler, then i have to empty my oven. i guess i'm lazy.
PS everyone here is talking bar-b-q. Its snowing here in NY.

yes, toasting is the best. If you don't have a small toaster oven you can toast on a barbeque grill or right on top of you home stove ( be quick).

Warm a skillet on med-high and lay the bun open side down. When it is brown, and not burnt, take it off.
