The noise is like an extremely loud meow. It sounds like a baby crying. He's not in pain or anything. We saw a vet about it and he's just deaf and trying to hear himself. Will it scare the kitten? Or would the kitten adopt the sound? Any personal experiance would also be appreciated.

My girlfriend's cat used to cry like a baby all the time, and it drove the whole family nuts. They got him a kitten. That was three years ago, and he hasn't cried since. He just wanted a cat buddy.

All of my kitties mimic sounds each other make. We taught one a sound from the movie Jay and Silent bob. We brought a kitten home and he mimics the sound from the other cat.

At least your kitten will be able to hear and most likely will not make the sound as loud if it does copy it.

I have five cats in my household and my three legged cat does this. It doesn't seem to phase any of my other cats.
