You can request to see an audiologist. Or get a referal from your regular doctor.
If you hear things muffled, or seem to have to turn things up in order to hear them you might suffer from hearing loss. Ringing in the hears is another reason to go. Sometimes you might just have an ear infection and not know it.

You will probably need your doc's referrel to go to an audiologist. Don't wait too long cause I did and I am severly hearing impaired in the left ear and hear nothing out of the right ear...GO NOW!

You are put into a sound proof room, and have to listen for tones they send you through headphones. You respond when you hear the tones, and they can tell from your responses if you need a hearing aid.

you know when you have a hearing problem when you start saying "huh" alot. lol. but seriously you see a Audiologist
