Sometimes parents need to put their foot down and say no. Maybe the CD you want isn't suitable for someone your age if it contains lots of swearing or inappropriate themes. My mother refused to by me a CD a few years ago on these grounds. Whilst I thought it sucked at the time, I waited a while & bought the CD myself later on. Respect your mother's decision and move on. There is a reason why she is the parent and you are the child!

Ask your mom is there anything you can do around the house to earn money. Also give her some suggestions, such as, cleaning the windows, mop the floor etc. When you earn the money you can buy the cd yourself.
