To prove to you that ''turning your left cheek'' is a myth.
Ok, seriously now, you must either be new at this forum or you just have a bad timing when it comes to logging in.
Christians call us (atheistic women) vile temptresses and whores of Babylon. They threaten us with Hell every day and I swear they're rejoycing at the image of my skin being burned! Need I say more?
It's a two way road. I hope we do reach some kind of agreement one day.

From what I've seen, there are far more Christians attacking atheists. I'm not saying the atheists are entirely innocent, but the Christians do almost all of it.
Some Christians can get a little too touchy when asked difficult questions about their religion, God, and beliefs. When it's a question they find too difficult to answer for whatever reason, they call it an attack. When they start doing this, the atheists must defend themselves. Then the Christians scream attack again.
All the atheists ask for is proof. They think in terms of concrete fact that can be historically or scientifically proven. There is nothing wrong with that.
The bottom line is, Christians think any question that a non-Christian asks about Christianity, the Bible, God, etc. is an attack, especially when the Christian cannot provide facts other than the Bible.
Straighten up.

Atheists attack the Christian faith for two reasons.
One, like Christians and other religions or an absence of, people want to think their right and bring other people to their conclusions.
Two, Christians relentlessly attack Atheist beliefs too and judge them for it.
Everyone wants to be right, and everyone argues against one another. That's just human nature, I suppose.

Ever see that episode of (the original) Star Trek called "The Alternative Factor?" Its about this guys and his counter-part "anti-guy" from the anti-universe. They end up struggling for all eternity trapped between the universes.
The "argument" between religous folk and athesitic folk is a lot like that. There's a general fear that the other side might get proven correct.
Until then.....

i do no longer care approximately attacking Christian faith. i'm no longer here to try this. i'm here to take care of education and technology. Christians and different theists in lots of situations disagree with scientific info, and want their non secular attitude taught in technology lecture rooms. issues like smart layout (which isn't a theory, that's non secular dogma) and international extensive flood (which isn't a theory, that's a narrative interior the Bible) are no longer scientifically valid. technology searches for info and solutions. smart layout and international extensive flood already have their very own conclusions in step with a single e book written earlier. in case you provides info for the two one, the international awaits. till then, save it out of the technology lecture room. because of the fact of this why atheists strongly disagree with Christianity.

Its not that we hate religion. We understand that religion enriches many peoples lives and that is wonderful. The only problem comes when religion comes into science preaching about intelligent design and other fallicies. Science is constantly making huge efforts to uncover the secrets of the universe, cure diseases, and fight hunger. All religion is doing for science is telling us not to bother with any of it because god takes care of it all. Thank god (no pun intended) we didn't listen to them or people would still be dying of the common cold. Once again, I don't have a problem with people believing in what they want to believe. And thats just it, I don't interfere with religion, so religion shouldn't interfere with science.

Why is it that christians relentlessly attack anyone who doesn't share their beliefs exactly? Along with constant lying and a persecution complex impervious to reality?

I don't attack the Christian faith. I do fight tooth and claw against Christian attempts to legislate Christianity into law and force me and mine to abide by Christian beliefs, and I will debate against those who try to convince me that their faith -- Christianity or otherwise -- is "right" (and being "wrong" means eternal torment).
