Theres a certain co-worker that has been giving everyone trouble since the day she started working here. Shes a manager out of 4 other managers. Im not sure who the top supervisor is but I need to find out. Anyways, this certain "authority figure" is known to have a bad attitude towards a lot of employees. She will get up in your face and tell you how it is rather you like it or not. You cant joke with her, be nice and expect to get a nice response, nothing positive. There was even an incident where one co-worker was ready to quit on her be-half. Since nobody will step up, Im going to step up. Im going to start a petition to either get her to change her attitude, or get out. I need to know the steps though in starting a professional and serious petition.

Be very careful about starting a petition against a supervisor.....not only are the odds that it will not work...but you may be petitioning for unemployment compensation..

Look, in the real world of work...there is almost no such thing as fair...there are good, and bad managers...you gotta learn to live with what you have, it'll get better.

In the business world, the one permanent sure fire thing you can count on..is change..

That depends on what she's doing. If she's just a b****, then there may be nothing people can legally do. If she is doing something like preventing people from using the restroom or degrading your race, then there may be recourse. I would talk to your other supervisors, one that is nicer, and perhaps to HR so it gets documented. Then if it doesn't improve, you could try writing up a petition stating the problem and getting all the coworkers to sign it. It may have to be a "her or us" thing, but they may not be able to fire her unless they can show "just cause" which is where the HR complaints/supervisor complaints come in. How come you don't know who the top supervisor is? Hard to say what to do b/c don't know the company policies; if it's a small place, it'd be different. If you complain and the management likes her, then you're up a creek. Think about finding another job instead.

Don't do this rather then that encourgage your co-workers that have had incidents with her speak up to her and if not her her supervisor. You are going to make trouble for yourself. Trust me my friend did this thinking she was helping out and it back fired on her. The end result they asked her to leave. Unless you yourself has had an issue with this person then don't speak up. Speak only for yourself. Also alot of the other manager are not going to be trusting you if you do this petition. Your going to look like a trouble maker. Dont burn your bridges.

Get a new job. This is a no win problem. I strongly suggest not "Steping up" this will only put you in this person's cross hairs and in the long run make your work life more miserable. Trust me I have gone through this. get out while you still can get a good job recommendation. I am warning you. No good will come of this.

I always liked people like that to run my companies. They were normally very efficient and got things done. Work isn't a Sunday social. Keep your mouth shut and do your job.
