Is there a reason why? Like, "I would rather the woman I spend the rest of my life with have only been with me"... Or do you just view it as a conquest, not even thinking about how long you plan on being with her?

I think some guys want the conquest.

I dont really care if a girl is a virgin or not. I want a woman that i can be with for a lifetime.

Well , for me personally, it is because I am Christian - as such, I wish to find someone with similar ideals (I'm also a virgin) but not only that it shows that she has the patience to find the right person and it also shows a great deal about her character. I mean you can see it, oftentimes, just by looking at a girl's face whether they are virgins or not. Not always, but oftentimes they are far sweeter / homely looking. These are also the kind of girls I fall for, they appear the most attractive to me as well, which makes it that much easier on me. Certainly the "used" girls know how to attract men, I don't deny that at all... but once I find out what their personality is... yuck... instant turn off for me. Now if I could only overcome my shyness problem... but that's another thing altogether...

Ive never set out to meet a virgin. If a guy is doing that for any other reason then he wants only one partner forever, then he needs help. I dated several women before I got married, some were virgins, some werent. I didnt view it as a huge accomplishment. I was just the guy they were dating when they decided to have sex for the 1st time.

Well for me I don't care if she is a virgin or not but I don't want to find out she had 50+ partners. I guess for me it's all about if she had been with a lot of men I would know that she had better sex with other people. Maybe I shouldn't think that way, but I do.

So the man wouldn't have to deal with the woman's pasts. Relationship and life are already complicated. Why would any man want to deal with going home and hear about some prior man did his present lover or why don't you like my ex? he did this and that for me, etc...or over-heard his lover talked the exes with her female companions....What for? let the past be the past. Why bring it up? Plain and simple. I guess!

If a guy picks a virgin just for that, i dont see it as love at all. a man shoudl love a woman for who she is, her personality etc. not because he wants to pop her cherry. i dont think girls should be promiscuous, but they dont have to be pure either. and the only time i think a guy shoudl worry so much abt that is if they are PURE as well. which is HIGHLY unlikely.

and anyhow, for a good sex life, i dont know any guys who prefer virgins... they're boring ive heard.

I think it has something to do with a few different things--1, if they plan on marrying her she has only been with him. 2, maybe they think they can teach her how to please him without her having other ideas from other guys or 3, they are just perverts.
