A sin is doing something you know is wrong.
So first problem is trying to make bargains with G*D.
The second problem is making vows you can't keep.
This is how the 'enemy' reminds us we're weak.
So just thank G*D for reminding you of your weakness.
Then ask him to free you from the real sin (smoking).

Perhaps this will help you to make up your mind.
Galatians 5:1 : "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage."
"For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name" Psalm 61:5
"So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows." Psalm 61:8
"If a man vow a vow unto the Lord, or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth." Numbers 30:2
It is a little offensive that you act as if a catholic might have some better understanding of the scriptures than someone that is not catholic. I say to you that any man that "studies to show himself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth" can answer your question just as good, if not better than a catholic, as one that studies in such a manner would never believe in a make-believe place such as Purgatory, which is NEVER, EVER mentioned in the word of God, and so, is not Biblical. Thank you, and I hope the answer helps.

Hey, you have nothing to worry about.. Because God FORGIVES. No matter how many times you mess up, He will always forgive you. No one is perfect except for God, and He knows that we are going to mess up.. He knew that you were going to start smoking again right as you promised that you would quit. Just pray about it, this doesn't mean that He is going to punish you. I mess up all the time and I feel terrible, but God still loves me perfectly and He loves you too.

Ask God to forgive you. Sure God hears vows, but also he forgives sins.
Stop smoking though, it isnt good for you & you do want to see them babies grow up & all. You are God's temple.Dont destroy it with smoking or drinking or any of the like.

I wouldn't start smoking again. If I had 3 kids in the house, I'd just go straight to drinking.

You need to keep vows, it very important. It hurts God when we promise things and do not keep them.
You can ask for forgiveness, and ask for his help.

Sweetie, He loves you! He loves you in your weakness!
Any time we miss the mark it's a sin, but Jesus died so that we can be free of our sins! You are free of your sin as long as he is your savior!
Just love God and do your best. It is through Jesus' blood that you are accepted. He loves you! Don't ever forget that!
