The kids have grown, Debra, and one has moved away to create his own celebrations. My little family is changing, and I don't like seeing the old traditions fade away. This is the year we work on building new ones.

However, there is one we will never give up. The night we set up our tree, we order a pizza and watch National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. It's a fun way to kick off the season, and we've been doing this for 16 years.

Today we put up the tree. And started the Advent wreath/candles - (well all RC do this, sorry).
Our favorite family tradition is opening presents after whole family assembles at parents house, then Moms pie, Sisters brownies and ice cream/more talking. (desserts change sometimes)
Family goes to morning mass.
Hoping you all have a wonderful season. Peace.

My husband tells our girls the story of Tante Noel, who became Saint Nick.

We also have a Sister Gift for our two daughters. Although they are 16 and 9, they always get them each the same or similar present that the two of them both can enjoy. Last year they received oversized teddy bears. This year, they both will receive journals.

Well, I usually see my parents for Christmas. My father and stepmother used to have company over, but don't do it anymore, except for us sons and daughter, and our kids. My mother just have my bro and I and our kids over. There isn't a special tradition. I hope to make midnight service this year. I did go once.

We go to Christmas Eve Candlelight service each year. It has been a tradition for a long time. Probably because we have no family other than our church family and it's lovely spending time with them on such a special night.

God bless!

This would be the first Christmas I would have to work, although hope to spend time in the Chapel at work with God and Jesus.

When my wife and I first got married, we bought this brass horn to put up with a wreath. Nice decoration.... it wasn't expensive at all.

Along came our children. My sone at probably, age 6 or so, picks up this brass horn and tried to play it. He did,.... and it was LOUD. So, every year since, he plays this cheap little brass horn. Reminds me of a shofar, really.

peace to you
