This has been a cycle for a good month and a half. Yes, I've been to the doctor and everything checks out fine except I've had terrible headaches which preceded the vomiting. The headaches aren't as bad now, but I'm still getting sick.

I've been tolerating liquids this week, but having a broth based chicken and rice soup today has made me nauseous again. Food has no appeal to me whatsoever. I've been able to handle a couple of saltines, a few hours apart when I'm lucky.

So, in your experience, how have you overcome nausea when reintroducing food? I've already googled the subject - and please don't tell me to go back to the doctor. That's a given.

:)

Great answers so far! Close to migraines, it's occipital neuralgia, Last week I had to get a couple injections at the base of my skull to calm it down. Fun times!

Mrs. Grass chicken soup and crackers. Sometimes chocolate depends on the time of month ;-)
Ensure helps, with a glass of water.

this will sound gross, but my sister, grandma, and mom all eat milk toast.
take a piece of toasted toast and heat up a little milk and enjoy. I can't get into eating it, but they all swear by it. I personally like Popsicles when I'm not feeling well

Toast, white rice, applesauce, and bananas are easy for you to digest and will be least bothersome to your stomach.

Lime sherbert.
You may have to "ride it out," until your body is ready for you to eat. You can't force it. Give it a few more days.

Try applesauce, toast, mashed potatoes. Things that are bland.
Hope you feel better!
