thorough mastication is the first step towards the digestion process. by chewing up your food the surface area is increased and digestive enzymes can function better. also by eating slower the stomach has time to convey messages of fullness to the brain which help to prevent overeating.

You always get the calories from the food, but i think they are absorbed more easily when you chew them more.

As for the spitting the food out question. No this doesnt work. The majority of nutrients are absorbed deep in the digestive system, so spitting them out would just give you some flavour then make you very sick after a few days.

I don't think chewing and spitting works cause thats practically not eating, but chewing foods good before swallowing may help.It makes it easier for our stomach to digest foods and let out the nutritious things.

By taking the time to chew your food more thoroughly you're aiding digestion, by aiding digestion you'll be less likely to gain weight from the food.

There isn't any point to eating if you're just gonna spit out your food. If anything, that will make you hungrier.
