I get it. Not asking is not a sin. To reject the Son of God for the very thing he died for is not a sin. Thus if it is not unrighteous, it must be a righteous act - rejecting Jesus. Merely exercising my free will, like when I sin. Got it.
I thought rejecting Jesus was something only a sinner would do and a sinful act as well.

I will ask that assumption as a question.

Wonderful question! Seems the atheists have a better answer than the Christians here. Free-will theology cannot resolve this. Tap-dancing is about all you're going to get.

Calvinism, however, resolves this quite well. The Father has predestined his own from before the foundations of the world, and given his own to the Son who died only for those sinners, a remnant, effectually called by the Holy Spirit, while leaving the rest in their sins -- although common grace gives them the universe that they still see displayed before them in His glory.

Not asking Jesus to save you, is your nature, and mine for that matter. Those who come to the Lord, do so by His doing, not their own. This means that no one has anything to brag about, and it gives them an assurance that Jesus Christ absolutely has saved them, not through their choice, but through God's decree -- and in this assurance we have our hope. So for the Calvinist, it's not only "once saved, always saved" -- it's salvation from eternity to eternity, some of us just don't know it yet.

Where in the bible did you find that? Ok, not asking is not a sin. Maybe you are sinless and don’t need to ask. What sin you did is the sin, not the not asking for forgiveness. You need to find me a bible verse that says otherwise.
Jesus can’t save you from any/all of your sins if you don’t ask.
Maybe you were thinking of this. The only unforgivable sin is to blasphemy against the holy spirit. I find it interesting that Jesus can’t save you from this sin even if you DO ask.
Matthew 12:31 Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men.

Sin in essence is separation from God. The result of sin in our lives is death--spiritual separation from God. Some Christians, like C. S. Lewis, take hell to be a real place where sinful people make themselves miserable. Similarly, thinking of heaven as a place of hedonistic pleasures is wrongheaded as well. In fact, those who choose hell would not enjoy the pleasures of heaven since those pleasures essentially flow from a right relationship with God.

We all have sinned which is what separates us from God. Deep down, our attitude may be one of active rebellion or passive indifference toward God and his ways, but it's all evidence of what the Bible calls sin. Jesus would be the mediator so to speak ... If you wish.

Not asking Jesus to save you is not a sin. It is a personal choice.

In the Bible it says:
John 16:24
Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.

How can Jesus save you if you never ask?

So no he can not save you because you never did ask.

You should ask him though. It will change your life dramatically

Christ can't save us in our sins, only from our sins. He isnt going to force us to follow him.

Yep, apparently it's OK if you murder or rape someone, but not if you don't believe.
