Does using folding at home on the ps3 affect the ps3's general functions at all?

like slows it down or take up memory ect.???

My PS3 runs a little hotter when the Folding is running. I used to never hear the fans until I started the Folding, and then I would hear them click on overdrive. But it doesnt effect the PS3 when you stop folding. Id reboot before I played games again tho. just me.

No, mine was running for two foldinr projects in a row (~16 hours). It's good to help sick people.

No we have been running it since march and it hasn't affected anything.
